Responsibilities

• Je bent hét aanspreekpunt voor schade en claims in België en behandelt zelfstandig complexe en geëscaleerde dossiers, met als doel een werkbaar compromis te vinden tussen klant en bedrijf.
• Je beoordeelt schade ter plaatse bij merchants en LC’s en zorgt voor een correcte afhandeling van vastgelopen dossiers.
• Indien een technische oplossing of kleine herstelling ter plaatse mogelijk is, neem je deze zelf op om het dossier efficiënt af te ronden en de merchant snel verder te helpen.
• Je analyseert schadegevallen, beoordeelt expertiserapporten en onderbouwt claimbeslissingen op basis van technische vaststellingen en het geldende beoordelingskader.
• Je communiceert duidelijk over beslissingen, verwachtingen, criteria en doorlooptijden, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.
• Je bewaakt de consistente toepassing van compensaties, goodwill en claimrichtlijnen en neemt deel aan escalatiemeetings.
• Op dinsdag werk je vanuit het kantoor in Antwerpen samen met je Team Lead en het claimteam voor afstemming, opvolging en rapportering van lopende dossiers.
• Je ondersteunt en begeleidt collega's bij complexe schadegevallen en deelt actief jouw technische expertise.
• Je signaleert verbeterpunten binnen processen en draagt bij aan een efficiëntere aanpak van schade- en claimbehandeling.
• Je zorgt voor een correcte en gestructureerde verslaglegging van je bevindingen en beslissingen.
• Alle nodige tools en middelen om je job succesvol uit te voeren, inclusief technisch materiaal, diagnoseapparatuur en een poolwagen voor je bezoeken aan merchants.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience as a mechanic, technician, or expert within the automotive sector.
• Strong technical insight and the ability to recognize the difference between normal wear and tear, defects, and damage.
• Experience in damage handling, expertise, or claims is a strong asset. You can interpret, assess, and, if necessary, refute expertise reports.
• You stand firm in your convictions and can clearly justify and defend technical decisions to various stakeholders.
• You work independently, accurately, and structured and feel comfortable in a role where you are often on the road.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch and have sufficient knowledge of French and English.
• You hold a driver's license B (manual).

We Offer

• Contract of indefinite duration
• 38 hours per week, with three to four days per week on the road at our merchants. Tuesday is your fixed office day in Antwerp.
• Competitive salary, based on your experience (starting at €2,500 gross per month)
• Performance-based gross bonus with a target amount of €1,100 per month. Based on the quality and efficiency of your claim management. The bonus is built around various KPIs, such as the correct and substantiated closure of files, the number of claims you resolve independently or support colleagues with, the quality of your damage assessments, and the timely completion of files within the agreed timeframe.
