Job description

About the Position

Client Partner - Southern California ONLY

We are seeking a strategic, resilient, and engaging Client Partner to join our Account Management team in Southern California. If you are a natural self-starter and an inspiring leader with a passion for solving complex problems, and you bring a consultative mindset paired with a sharp understanding of the technology driving today's business world, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. As a Client Partner, you will own and grow a portfolio of enterprise clients across Southern California, selling EPAM's integrated product engineering, design, and consulting services.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of enterprise accounts targeting $10M+ in annual revenue, anchored by at least one account with $10M+ standalone potential, with a growth path toward $15M+ over time.
  • Act as the Client Partner with clients, internal teams, and BU Heads/Sales Leads, owning a single account or small portfolio.
  • Align with EPAM Account Managers and Account Management Senior Leadership to co-develop account plans and strategies for delivery, growth, and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as engagement owner, working directly with client business and IT teams to position the engagement and EPAM for success.
  • Drive both organic account growth and new business development - proactively hunting new logos, not solely farming existing relationships.
  • Lead an integrated, multi-service delivery model across accounts, owning the full P&L and all financial and contractual aspects of engagements.
  • Shape solutions, scope and price engagements, establish optimal operating models, and lead the transition from sales to delivery.
  • Build and sustain senior client relationships through consistent local presence - in-person meetings, client lunches/dinners, and ongoing relationship cultivation across SoCal metro areas.
  • Support sales and pre-sales activity: assess opportunities, respond to RFPs, build proposals and presentations, and help close new deals.
  • Stay current on trends, opportunities, and challenges across your industries and geography, and how they affect clients' business and initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years demonstrated success developing and growing client relationships and leading teams delivering end-to-end solutions, including 5+ years in P&L, sales, and account management roles.
  • A proven track record of active account management - not just relationship maintenance - including P&L ownership and multi-service delivery.
  • Demonstrated new-business development experience: winning new logos in addition to growing existing accounts.
  • Established industry knowledge and relationships in one or more of: Energy & Utilities, Retail/Consumer, Healthcare & Life Sciences, or Technology (Media & Entertainment is covered by a separate team and is not a focus of this role).
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with executive presence and strong presentation ability.
  • Ability to operate at the strategic level while staying close enough to the details to add real value to clients and teams.
  • Track record of leading teams and contributing to cross-functional delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, with sound business acumen.
  • Experience managing and monitoring performance metrics across accounts and portfolios.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher; MBA preferred, engineering foundation a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, up to 25%.
  • Must currently reside in Southern California (LA County, Orange County, or San Diego), with an established local presence and network.
