About the Position
Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist
Multiple Shift Available: Rotating / Evenings/ Nights - FT and PT
· Locations in California available: Eureka - San Luis Obispo - Turlock - Modesto
· Relocation Assistance Offered
· Base Salary commensurate with experience and dependent on location ($69,000-$160,000)
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized tests in the Clinical and/or Microbiology Laboratory(ies).
- Provide accurate and timely results.
- Knowledge of JCAHO requirements specific to various age populations including infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
- Conduct various technical procedures in multiple hospital departments.
- Process specimens, develop methods, and perform testing across multiple areas and departments.
- Demonstrate accuracy with details and organizational skills.
- Maintain laboratory instruments, perform quality control, calibration, reagent preparation, and data entry.
- Technical skills in laboratory science required.
- Working knowledge of quality control rules required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, biology, or a related science.
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License (CLS License) or equivalent.
