About the Position
Bring your ideas to life at Boeing. We are looking for a C++/Linux Software Engineer (Associate or Experienced Level) to join our Software Engineering team in Poland. This role is part of a hybrid position, requiring some onsite work in Gdańsk, Rzeszów, or Warsaw.
Responsibilities
- Utilize modern computer programming techniques, tools, languages, and agile software development methodologies to build software for delivered Boeing systems.
- Perform engineering activities including architecture, requirements, development, integration, and testing.
- Proactively contribute to project execution plans to set and achieve operational goals.
- Engage in project estimation and planning.
- Influence, innovate, and continuously improve the software engineering process as well as the quality, safety, and reliability of products and services provided by Boeing.
- Collaborate proactively with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports to understand operational and performance expectations.
- Cultivate a positive staff culture and team motivation.
Requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Proficiency in modern C++
- Proven practical knowledge of Linux OS
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Level 2 (Associate):
- 2+ years of applicable experience
- Experience in embedded Linux
- Knowledge of Linux networking stack
- Experience with x86 and ARM architecture
- Proficiency in one other programming language (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.)
- Collaborating in international projects

Level 3 (Experienced):
- 5+ years of applicable experience
- Experience in embedded Linux
- Knowledge of Linux networking stack
- Experience with x86 and ARM architecture
- Proficiency in one other programming language (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.)
- Collaborating in international projects

Nice to Have
- Experience in software development for avionics systems or complex electronics products
- Experience in Yocto or OpenWRT
