About the Position

Cloud DevOps Expert Engineer

We are looking for a Cloud DevOps Expert Engineer to join our IT Engineering team in Warsaw, Poland. This role focuses on GCP and Azure cloud services, and you will be responsible for architecture, automation, and implementation of network solutions and platform services.

Responsibilities

• Support the team in maintaining cloud infrastructure
• Design end-to-end solutions considering network, GKE, IAM, security, observability, automation, and operational processes
• Make architectural decisions by comparing options, describing trade-offs, risks, costs, and limitations
• Create reusable components and documentation, not just one-off configurations
• Lead Proof of Concept tasks by defining hypotheses, success criteria, and tests
• Ensure solution productivity through monitoring, alerting, SLO, capacity, patching, upgrades, DR, runbooks, and ownership
• Collaborate with network, security, and architecture teams
• Mentor other engineers through design reviews, code reviews, workshops, and knowledge sharing
• Communicate architectural recommendations to business stakeholders in an understandable manner
• Address vulnerabilities within SecOps
• Optimize monitoring and build metrics for services

Requirements

• Current cloud certification (GCP, Azure, AWS) at the engineer or architect level
• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) at the administrator and architect levels
• Experience with CI/CD systems, especially Azure DevOps (Git, Pipelines)
• Scripting skills in languages like Bash, Python, Go
• Expert knowledge of network systems (OSI Model, addressing, firewalling, routing, NLB, etc.)
• Administrative knowledge of Linux (RHEL) and Windows operating systems
• Experience with infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or Terragrunt
• Understanding of security aspects, including cloud security
• Experience with IAM and distributed identity management models
• Administrative knowledge of observability (Logging, Metrics, ELK)

Nice to Have

• Experience in containerizing applications (build, deployment, maintenance)
• Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift clusters
• Knowledge of FinOps and SecOps
• Experience in Data or ML/AI (GCP)
• Experience with F5 BIG-IP, NGINX App Protect, or other ADC/WAF solutions
• Experience with Istio, Envoy, or service mesh
• Experience maintaining and working in a banking or regulated financial institution environment
• Participation in developer or architectural projects in project or implementation teams
