About the Project

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join an Azure-based enterprise platform modernisation project. The team is moving selected services from manually managed environments to repeatable cloud infrastructure, improving identity, networking, monitoring, deployment automation, and security controls.

The stack includes Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Key Vault, Entra ID, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Bicep or Terraform, and Azure DevOps. The role requires strong spoken English for direct communication with international infrastructure, security, and application teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain Azure cloud resources for application and integration workloads.
  • Build repeatable infrastructure using Bicep, Terraform, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Support Azure App Service, Functions, storage, databases, Key Vault, and networking components.
  • Improve identity and access patterns using Entra ID, managed identities, RBAC, and secure secret handling.
  • Configure monitoring, alerts, dashboards, logs, and diagnostics with Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and improve deployment reliability across environments.
  • Collaborate with developers and security teams on cloud architecture, troubleshooting, and operational improvements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services in production environments.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of Azure networking, private endpoints, DNS, security groups, and environment separation.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines or similar CI/CD tools.
  • Good understanding of monitoring, logging, backup, access management, and cloud security basics.
  • Strong spoken English - B2+ or higher for technical planning and collaboration with international teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AKS, containers, Helm, or Kubernetes-based deployments.
  • Experience with Azure Landing Zones, policy management, or governance controls.
  • Experience with cloud migration or modernisation projects.

Azure certifications are welcome but practical experience is more important.
