About the Position
Cloud Engineer

Join Xebia Group as a Cloud Engineer in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Work on challenging projects with leading companies.
Responsibilities
- Help cloud and software-driven organizations to speed up their software development
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve cloud networks and cloud-based systems
- Apply cloud engineering practices to pick the best tools for the job
- Build, use, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Work together with other medior- and senior team members on challenging projects for our clients
- Sometimes write software alongside product development colleagues
- At other times, build the systems those developers need, such as load balancers and backups
- Apply existing solutions to new problems
- Focus on automation of the software development process
- Manage large-scale and scalable cloud environments
- Take care of the facilitation for security and system administration
Requirements
- A technical bachelor’s or master’s degree (e.g., computer science, cloud computing, software engineering)
- 2-4 years of work experience as a cloud engineer
- Preferably some experience in one of the major cloud environments (GCP, Azure, AWS)
- Customer-focused with a strong can-do mentality
- Focus on results and a desire to complete challenging tasks and learn while doing
Nice to Have
- Experience with data pipelines
- Knowledge of data modeling, cloud data platforms, reliability, and best practices
