About the Position
Cloud high traffic Utrecht Kubernetes AWS

Are you passionate about building scalable cloud infrastructure? Join a fast-growing scale-up as a Senior Kubernetes Platform Engineer to ensure a reliable and automated platform for developers.
Responsibilities
- Work on EKS clusters and the GitOps platform, including upgrades, security, autoscaling, and core platform components.
- Improve how teams deploy to Kubernetes, from GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines to self-service templates for developers.
- Guide the migration of the core application from EC2 to Kubernetes, while maintaining the existing EC2 environment.
- Manage AWS infrastructure with Terraform and optimize observability, alerting, security, and costs across the entire platform.
- Mentor engineers, pair on platform changes, write clear documentation, and define engineering standards.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or DevOps roles, with deep AWS knowledge (EKS, EC2, IAM, VPC networking).
- Solid production experience running Kubernetes and Docker workloads, including cluster upgrades, autoscaling, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience deploying to Kubernetes via GitOps and CI/CD pipelines such as FluxCD and GitHub Actions.
- Strong Terraform and Linux skills, as well as a solid foundation in observability, secrets management, and least-privilege access.
- Excellent communication skills and experience mentoring engineers and guiding teams through change.
