About the Role

As a Commercial Controller, you will play a strategic role in connecting finance with the business. You will act as a trusted advisor to CAM leadership, influencing decisions that drive profitability and growth, and providing insights and actions that align with operational strategies. This role leads cross-functional collaboration and acts as a mentor to team members. The role reports to the Regional Finance Partner or Controlling Director.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple mid to large programs across regions and SBU.
  • Lead Business Case activities from intake to SOP including, but not limited to:
    • Influencing quote and pricing scenarios.
    • Providing financial insights and advice to CAM to meet strategic goals.
    • Enforcing compliance to process, tools, and approvals.
    • Conducting comprehensive business case reviews with SBU controlling and CAM stakeholders and providing actionable recommendations.
    • Influencing, tracking, and monitoring financial risks and opportunities.
    • Advanced to complex scenario analysis.
    • Comprehensive documentation of inputs and changes.
    • Identify and communicate commercial levers and trade-offs.
    • Provide appropriate input to CAM for leadership reviews including GRO, VCOM, and Board of Directors.
    • Reconcile scope and contract with the quoted baseline, identify variances, and propose countermeasures.
    • Conduct variance analysis, monitor KPIs, and report on financial performance.
  • Lead financial reviews with CAM Lead and CG Leads.
  • Support customer claim activities, monitor and drive actions, and validate completeness.
  • Coordinate audit responses and compliance.
  • Create complex scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis for strategic initiatives.
  • Translate financial data into actionable business insights.
  • Mentor junior finance partners and analysts.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and strategic discussions.
  • Serve as the contact for budget reviews, adherence to policy procedures, and implementation of quality control measures.
  • Lead collaboration activities with cross-functional colleagues.

Requirements

  • +5 years of experience in business/project controlling, program management, or cost management.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s or MBA preferred) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
  • Skilled in SAP, financial planning tools, financial modeling, and Excel.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills; business acumen and ability to influence teams.
  • Proven ability to effectively influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
