About Your Role

As a key member of the Performance Tapes regional leadership team (PTAP LT), the Commercial Manager ASEAN reports directly to the GM of Performance Tapes APAC, and assumes responsibility for overseeing overall commercial initiatives and driving outsized growth across ASEAN countries. This role involves managing a local sales team in ASEAN, and collaborating closely with regional and local functions, to foster a seamless collaboration for business growth.

Responsibilities

Commercial Leadership

Develop and execute sales strategies for PT ASEAN to drive revenue growth, improve market share, and enhance profitability.
Cultivate strong relationships with customers and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Engage with end users to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Provide sales teams with the necessary tools, resources, and support to achieve their targets.
Implement and track metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives.
Lead and influence key stakeholders to align sales strategies and collaborate effectively to achieve business objectives.

Finance and Governance

Oversee financial commitments, ensuring alignment with AOP/IOP goals and organizational budgets.
Establish a regular cadence for reviewing financial performance and making necessary adjustments.
Develop and maintain metrics and dashboards to monitor performance against strategic objectives.
Ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations and governance standards.

Organization and Culture

Refine the commercial organization for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
Attract, retain, and develop talent within the team.
Foster a culture of customer-centricity, agility, simplicity, and togetherness.
Role model and promote Avery Dennison’s Code of Business Ethics and Values.

Collaboration & Alignment

Collaborate with PT regional functions to align business priorities, ensure consistency with the broader PTAP strategy, and drive regional initiatives.
Leverage strong partnerships with ASEAN local teams to gain local market support, resources, and operational alignment to propel tapes business growth in ASEAN.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA is advantageous.
Minimum 8-10 years of sales and management experience in the B2B industry within matrixed and sizable organizations, preferably in industries such as automotive or electronics. Experience in adhesive or tapes related products will be a plus.
Proven success in sales and business development resulting in top-line growth, particularly in specialty business sectors.
Results-driven with a focus on swift execution of objectives.
Proficient in a matrix organization with excellent communication and influencing skills, both verbal and written English proficiency.
Strong customer focus with the ability to champion and challenge fast response solution development.
Excellent organizational & people management skills, with the passion to build collaborative and high-performing teams.
P&L experience is advantageous.
Above all, demonstrate a high level of integrity and ethics.
