About the Role

Atoms is building the machines that power the next era of progress. We are changing the way the physical world operates by integrating hardware, software, AI, operations, manufacturing, and real estate to create Physical AI-real-world robots for industries like food, mining, and transport.

We're looking for a senior content and communications leader to own the portfolio-wide content and communications strategy across Atoms' Food, Mining, and Transport businesses. The role involves building a coherent public narrative for a company operating in four distinct industries simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Own the company-wide moment calendar: Sequence partnership announcements, fundraises, key hires, and first-site or product launches to create a coherent story.
Build and run the vertical media network: Recruit and manage boutique agencies and individual operators embedded in each industry's press ecosystem.
Lead new-media strategy for Atoms leadership: Identify and secure placements with top-tier and niche podcasts, shows, and events relevant to each vertical's audience.
Run a top-tier content creation team: Produce high-quality media.
Set channel and tier strategy: Operate the existing architecture, including the newsroom, blog/Perspectives, and company LinkedIn.
Drive customer-forward storytelling: Shift the focus from Atoms talking about its customers to customers speaking directly about their own growth.
Advise leadership directly: On the timing, framing, and risk of every major public moment.

Requirements

10+ years in media and communications, including experience building a content & media function from zero at a high-growth company in a regulated or partnership-dependent industry.
Direct experience reporting to leadership as a strategic advisor.
Range across the full spectrum of communications work, including product launches, funding announcements, executive communications, crisis response, and internal communications.
Experience managing a portfolio of boutique agency relationships.
The ability to hold several distinct narratives at once without collapsing them into one generic voice.
A high creative bar for producing video and written content.
Sound instincts for substance-forward, low-combativeness media strategy.
Existing relationships in restaurant tech, industrial/mining press, robotics and deep tech, or business/finance trade media.
Experience building new-media placement strategy for founders or executives.

We Offer

Base salary range: $159,000 - $187,000 per year.
Equity awards and an annual performance-based bonus.
