Project Manager in the Sphere of Open Data/Civic Tech

About the Position

East Europe Foundation announces a competition for the position of Project Manager in the Sphere of Open Data/Civic Tech to implement initiatives in digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical requirements and concepts for projects related to the development and implementation of educational programs, courses, grant contests, conferences and other events, analytical studies, development of recommendations regarding regulatory and legal acts, as well as for promotional activities of the component: promotional support of such projects, web platforms related to them.
• Carry out procurement procedures and assistance in the implementation of contracts, agreements with suppliers and consultants.
• Organization and monitoring of the activities of service providers and ensuring the quality of products developed within the project, as well as the fulfillment of contractual conditions, acceptance of the results of works in terms of structure, quality, correlation with technical requirements.
• Coordination of the activities of various service providers during the implementation of multi-component programs, control of the deadlines for the implementation of tasks.
• Coordination of acceleration programs/grant competitions aimed at the creation of civic-tech instruments, monitoring of the implementation of participating teams’ projects.
• Presenting interests of the Open Data component of the USAID / UK aid TAPAS project during cooperation with state authorities and other institutions, communication with partners within the project/component.
• Preparing topics and theses for the informational and communication materials on the sphere of open data. Provision of materials to the Communications Manager to cover activities within the component.
• Coordination of completing the implementation plan, gathering of statistical data of some projects and preparing reports.

Requirements

• Experience in the sphere of project management from 2 years;
• Experience in the sphere of business education, organization of training and / or acceleration programs from 2 years;
• Ability to establish cooperation with various stakeholders;
• Ability to multitask, flexibility in processes;
• Attention to details, responsibility, proactiveness;
• Fluency in Ukrainian and English, literacy.

Nice to Have

• Expert understanding of the sphere of open data and civic-tech products;
• Experience in international technical assistance projects;
• Experience in cooperation with government institutions.
