About the Position
We are looking for a hands-on Compliance Officer who understands how regulated businesses operate in practice, not just on paper. You will own the day-to-day compliance function across our MiFID and MiCA activities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure our MiFID II and IFR/IFD obligations are properly embedded into day-to-day operations
- Maintain and improve AML/CFT and transaction monitoring processes
- Translate regulatory requirements into practical internal processes
- Support ongoing supervision and regulatory interaction
- Review product and feature changes before launch
- Manage day-to-day communication with AFM and DNB, including regulatory requests and supervision
- Ensure policies, implementation and operational reality stay aligned
- Help maintain and strengthen the firm’s regulatory standing
- Use strong internal judgement and involve external advisors only when truly needed
- Operate proactively in a fast-moving environment
- Work closely with product, legal and senior management teams
Requirements
- 5+ years of compliance or financial regulation experience
- Strong understanding of MiFID II and AML/CFT processes
- Experience working directly with regulators
- Ability to turn regulation into practical execution
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment
Most importantly, you understand the gap between written policy and real operational behaviour - and you care about closing it.
Nice to Have
- MiCA or crypto-related regulatory experience
- Familiarity with custody, Travel Rule or sanctions processes
- Experience in an AFM or DNB-supervised environment
- Dutch language skills are a plus
