Computer Vision Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Computer Vision Engineer to develop and implement computer vision algorithms for our unit, specializing in object detection, image classification, and object tracking.

Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of computer vision algorithms for the unit.
• Creation, training, testing, and optimization of artificial intelligence models for automatic detection, classification, and tracking of objects.
• Processing and analysis of video and photo data obtained from unmanned aerial systems, surveillance cameras, and other technical means.
• Development of solutions for tasks such as Object Detection, Image Classification, Instance Segmentation, Semantic Segmentation, and Object Tracking.
• Formation, preparation, annotation, and maintenance of datasets for training machine learning models.
• Evaluation of model effectiveness based on key quality metrics and their subsequent improvement.
• Integration of developed algorithms into the software and hardware complexes of the unit.
• Optimization of models for real-time operation on computational platforms using GPU.
• Participation in the testing and implementation of new technological solutions in combat and training conditions.
• Interaction with programmers, UAV engineers, analysts, and other specialists for the implementation of joint projects.
• Analysis of modern technologies in the field of computer vision and the implementation of best practices in the work of the unit.
• Preparation of technical documentation and reporting on developed solutions.

Requirements

• Higher technical education (computer science, applied mathematics, electronics, automation, or related specialties).
• Experience in developing machine vision systems for at least 2 years.
• Deep understanding of the principles of computer vision and image processing.
• Practical experience in building and training object recognition models.
• Understanding of modern neural network architectures for tasks such as Object Detection, Image Classification, Instance Segmentation, Semantic Segmentation, and Object Tracking.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with: OpenCV, PyTorch or TensorFlow, Ultralytics YOLO (YOLOv8/YOLOv11), NumPy, Pandas.
• Experience in preparing and annotating datasets.
• Skills in evaluating model quality (mAP, Precision, Recall, F1-score).
• Understanding of model training, validation, and optimization processes.
• Experience working with GPU (NVIDIA CUDA).
• Knowledge of Linux at the level of a confident user.
