About the Position
We are seeking a Configuration Change Engineer to join our team in managing design changes and ensuring the accuracy of engineering information in a major infrastructure project in the South West UK. This role is full-time and offers a permanent contract.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the implementation and delivery of Configuration Management processes across the project
- Acting as a key point of contact for engineering teams on configuration and change control activities
- Coordinating engineering changes and ensuring actions are followed through to completion
- Working closely with stakeholders to resolve technical queries and open points
- Maintaining configuration records and supporting configuration assurance activities
- Monitoring and steering configuration-related actions to ensure project requirements are met
- Supporting design handover activities and ensuring configuration control is maintained throughout the project lifecycle
- Contributing to the development and improvement of efficient, data-driven ways of working
Requirements
Required Skills:
- 2-4 years' experience within an engineering, technical, or project-based environment
- Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities simultaneously
- Methodical and process-oriented mindset
- Strong attention to detail
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience within nuclear, defence, aerospace, energy, rail, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with engineering change processes
- Experience supporting engineering projects or design teams
- Knowledge of quality management or configuration control principles
- Understanding of engineering documentation and design processes
