Conformity Engineer_Telecom & Electrical/Electronics

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end technical review and conformity assessment for Telecom, Wireless, IoT, Electrical and Electronics products.
• Review technical files, test reports, declarations, product labels, and certification documents for regulatory completeness.
• Coordinate certification submissions and approvals across applicable GCC/Middle East schemes and client requirements.
• Liaise with clients, laboratories, SGS regional teams, and certification stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant project delivery.
• Strong technical interpretation, regulatory analysis, and structured documentation review capability.

Requirements

• Knowledge of telecom, wireless, electrical/electronics conformity schemes, approval routes, and market access requirements.
• Ability to assess technical evidence, identify documentation gaps, and coordinate corrective inputs with clients and laboratories.
• Good coordination, reporting, and follow-up skills across regional teams, certification bodies, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecom, Communication Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Exposure to product compliance, conformity assessment, regulatory certification, or technical documentation review preferred.
• Analytical and detail-oriented profile with the ability to interpret standards, test evidence, and certification requirements.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for client coordination, laboratory follow-up, and internal reporting.

Experience

• 2–4 years’ experience in product compliance, conformity assessment, certification support, or technical documentation review.
• Exposure to telecom, wireless, IoT, electrical/electronics product categories, and related GCC/Middle East approval schemes.
• Understanding of applicable schemes such as type approval, G-Mark, ECAS, SABER, IECEE, RoHS, or energy efficiency programs preferred.
• Ability to review compliance evidence, identify gaps, follow up with clients/labs, and support timely certification submissions.
