About the Position

Consultant, Rates & Regulatory

Join Black & Veatch as a Consultant, Rates & Regulatory to deliver advisory projects for water utilities, focusing on rates development and asset investment planning.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and manage technical work for financial planning, cost-of-service, and rate design for municipal and regulated water and wastewater utilities.
  • Conduct demand studies and affordability analyses.
  • Evaluate total cost of ownership and financial viability.
  • Assess business processes to support operational effectiveness.
  • Plan asset investments, evaluate business cases, and prioritize capital.
  • Serve as a technical specialist on projects, analyzing and interpreting data to provide insights and develop solutions.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, processes, tools, models, and other deliverables.
  • Facilitate and present in client meetings and workshops.
  • Support development of scope and fee for proposals, and may support business development activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience.
  • 4+ years experience in a business/consulting environment.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Certifications related to area of expertise, where applicable preferred.
