About the Position
At Odoo Kenya, words matter! They shape how people understand our products, our culture, and our impact. That’s why we’re looking for a talented Content Writer who loves storytelling, enjoys exploring new topics, and can turn complex ideas into engaging, clear content.
You’ll play a key role in shaping Odoo’s voice across multiple channels: success stories, press relations, blog articles, social media, and more. If writing is your superpower and curiosity is your fuel, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities
As a Content Writer at Odoo, you will:
- Create impactful content that showcases Odoo’s products, customers, and expertise, shaping how the company is perceived.
- Collaborate with sales and customer teams to identify success stories, gather facts, and turn real business experiences into engaging, authentic, and inspiring articles.
- Handle press-related content, including drafting press releases, communication plans, and working with customers and partners on announcements.
- Nurture and manage Odoo’s relationships with journalists and media outlets.
- Produce blog content, including educational articles on Odoo apps, their features, real-life use cases, as well as trends, business topics, and industry news.
- Ensure blog and content is shared organically on social media to maintain relevance and engagement.
- Research and produce comparison papers, analyzing competitors, market trends, and presenting insights in a clear and professional manner.
- Support the marketing team in day-to-day activities.
- Contribute to major events, such as Odoo Experience Africa, including promotion, content creation, and strategy.
Requirements
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Proactive and independent, taking full ownership of your projects
- A natural storyteller who loves writing
- Good ability to research tech topics
- Detail oriented
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree or higher (ideally in marketing, event, or communication)
- Able to work in a fast-paced start-up environment with a hands-on attitude
- Business mindset: attention to details, curious, rigorous
