About the Position
East Europe Foundation is seeking a Program Manager for a project aimed at supporting civil society. This role will involve managing the project under the direct supervision of the vice president of the Foundation programs.
Start date: January 2025
Location: Kyiv, Ukraine

Responsibilities
- Ensure complex program control – results-aimed management.
- Implement program management focused on achieving program goals, including planning program activities, ensuring their effective implementation, and reporting on program achievements.
- Showing leadership and building up an effective work effort from the programming team, overseeing the work of contractors and grantees in order to reach project goals in a timely manner.
- Cultivate and support effective collaboration with beneficiaries and stakeholders of the program.
- Create program approaches, focused on development of civil society organizations, particularly increasing their abilities in the civic-tech sphere, and related innovations.
- To work according to the EU requirements and policies and procedures of the Foundation for the duration of the program.
- Perform other relevant requirements necessary for the successful implementation of the program.
Requirements
- Management, social work, public administration, related specialties. Ideally, possession of professional certification in project or program management.
- 3-5 years experience in a similar position – management of donor financing programs. Work experience in the civic sector, experience in donor financing programs. Understanding nuances in the aforementioned sectors.
- Attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills, are mandatory.
- Skilled user of a PC, and MS Office (particularly MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ideally work skills with the use of project management and collaboration instruments (MS Project, Jira, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and in a multi-tasking setting, with high requirements and specific deadlines, ability to prioritize tasks to ensure efficient results.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to establish and support effective collaboration with colleagues and partners.
- Strong Ukrainian language skills are mandatory, professional level English language skills (minimum B2 level) for progress reports and communication with the donor.
