About the Role

As a Finance Business Partner at HARMAN Automotive, you will serve as a crucial liaison between Finance and the RFQ teams. Your responsibilities will include supporting business intake, coordinating inputs, utilizing quote tools and processes, and actively participating in cross-functional team meetings. This role reports to the Regional Finance Business Partner or Controlling Director.

Responsibilities

• Support Business Case activities from intake to Award, including:
  • Leading RFQ intake and framing; clarifying scope, premises, and exclusions; creating and maintaining the RFQ status and timeline.
  • Building the Business Case and validating inputs; reconciling prior revisions and providing variance analysis.
  • Consolidating risks and commitments; quantifying impacts; validating mitigation plans and maintaining maturity ratings within the case.
  • Running scenarios and sensitivities; surfacing commercial levers and trade-offs; recommending options to CAMs/SBU.
  • Orchestrating cross-functional inputs; ensuring systems and tools are set up and structures are aligned to the baseline.
  • Supporting business case reviews with SBU controlling and CAM stakeholders.
  • Preparing approval materials; coordinating GAR/GRO/VCOM approvals and tracking conditions to close.
  • Upon award, reconciling final scope/contract vs. quoted baseline; freezing the baseline and handing over a complete package to execution teams.
• Ensuring RFQ process, tools, and approvals are followed, escalating as necessary.
• Reviewing and aligning BC status with Finance Business Partner.
• Participating in cross-functional collaboration activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3-5 years in project/business controlling, program management, or cost management.
• Basic knowledge of automotive RFI/RFQ processes.
• Skilled in SAP, financial planning tools, financial modeling, and Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration and customer account management.
