Responsibilities
- Design and program building automation systems and DDC controls
- Review project drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation
- Select system components such as controllers, sensors, actuators, and valves
- Develop wiring diagrams and control drawings using Visio
- Program DDC controllers and build user interfaces
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and optimize system performance on site
- Configure HVAC controls and BAS integrations
- Support system startup, testing, and optimization
- Diagnose controls and communication issues
- Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and customers
- Maintain accurate documentation and system records
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in building automation, BAS/BMS, HVAC controls, or a related technical field
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hands-on experience programming DDC controllers
- Experience creating control drawings using Visio
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and mechanical/electrical schematics
- Understanding of networking and system integrations
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience with building automation platforms such as:
- Niagara / Tridium
- Johnson Controls
- Siemens
- Honeywell
- Distech
- Alerton
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to remain tobacco-free while on job sites
