COO

About the Position

TAF Industries, a leading military-tech company specializing in the production and development of defense technologies, is seeking a COO.

You can apply for the position if you have:

• Experience working as a COO / Operations Director / Production Director for at least 3 years;
• Mandatory experience in production sectors with complex physical products: Defense Tech / defense industry, heavy engineering, instrumentation, hardware, or complex system production;
• Practical experience in building, scaling, and stabilizing production processes in a rapidly growing company or one operating in high operational uncertainty;
• Experience in managing procurement, suppliers, and contractors, including search, audit, contracting, and control of agreement fulfillment;
• Experience in implementing ERP systems.

It would be great if you have:

• Higher education in management, economics, engineering, production management, or related fields;
• Experience in managing multi-site production-simultaneous coordination of at least 2-3 remote production sites;
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher;
• Recommendations from previous employers.

Responsibilities

Automation and ERP Implementation (Odoo)

• Full establishment and launch of automated operational processes based on Odoo;
• Input all production plans, expected delivery schedules, and contractual obligations into the ERP system according to government and private orders;
• Transition of the company's internal processes into a transparent, systematic routine with clear KPIs.

Logistics Organization and Infrastructure Coordination

• Strategic planning and establishment of reliable logistics chains (raw material supply, movement between sites, finished product delivery);
• Organization and control of the coordination of the logistics hub network (warehouse complexes and distribution centers) across Ukraine;
• Optimization and coordination of the company's freight and operational vehicle fleet (management of own vehicle fleet and interaction with logistics contractors).

Operational Production Management

• Coordination of multiple production sites across Ukraine, ensuring seamless processes;
• Establishment of the supply system, search, audit, and contracting of key suppliers (local and international);
• Establishment of the process for rapid transfer of new technologies and products from the R&D department to mass production;
• Preparation of the operational model for potential involvement of production processes abroad.
