Corporate Legal Intern

British American Tobacco (BAT) is evolving at pace into a global multi-category business. Our purpose is to create A Better Tomorrow™ by Building a Smokeless World. British American Tobacco México has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Legal Intern in Monterrey/ Punto Valle.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate the Contract Lifecycle Management tool, ensuring all contracts are on board, accessible, and up to date.
Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts across various functions.
Work with legal and business teams to ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and best practices.
Act as a business partner between Legal and other business units, fostering effective communication and alignment on legal matters.
Identify opportunities to streamline legal processes, reduce risks, and enhance efficiency through creative legal solutions.
Analyze laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide recommendations and insights that mitigate legal risks and promote compliance.
Maintain accurate and organized legal documentation.
Provide legal support and assistance to the legal team as needed, including preparing legal documents, presentations, and reports.

Requirements

Advanced student pursuing a degree in Law, International Relations, or Economics.
Projected graduation date of 2028 or later.
Intermediate–advanced proficiency in English.
Strong organization, responsibility, and proactivity.
Strong experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, DocuSign (desirable).
Availability to work onsite at Punto Valle.
