Ready to lead, disrupt and reinvent the sleep industry?

We are Emma – The Sleep Company. Founded in 2015, we have grown into the world’s largest direct-to-consumer (D2C) sleep brand, with a presence in over 20 markets and more than 35 Emma stores across Europe.

Our mission is simple: to develop sleep comfort products that empower our customers to awaken their best every day. Today, our products are trusted by millions and recommended by leading consumer associations worldwide.

It’s our people who bring this mission to life. At Emma, you’ll join a driven, international team that values ownership, collaboration, and continuous knowledge sharing. With colleagues from over 70 nationalities, we combine diverse perspectives with a shared ambition to learn, grow, and create lasting impact, together.

Ready to awaken your best with us?

Responsibilities

  • Performing all corporate secretarial and statutory compliance tasks of Emma Sleep India Private Limited.
  • Organizing and running board and general meetings, preparing resolutions and minutes, and maintaining all statutory registers, minute books, and records.
  • Managing ROC filings and annual compliance cycle under the Companies Act, including annual returns, director declarations and KYC, auditor appointments, share allotments, and changes to the entity’s constitutional documents.
  • Monitoring RBI and FEMA obligations, such as annual returns, FDI and ECB reporting, and the reporting of intra-group payments and dividend repatriation, together with our finance and tax teams.
  • Taking care of registrations and local compliance, including GST, Shops and Establishment, Professional Tax, EPFO, and digital signatures, and keeping our office addresses and licenses in order.
  • Owning our POSH compliance: supporting the Internal Committee, tracking its set-up, meetings, and annual filings, organizing trainings, and keeping case records confidential and complete.
  • Working with our external advisors, auditors, and authorities, and ensuring that external support is used where it adds value, and not where an Emmie can do it faster.
  • Acting as a legal sparring partner for our India team and advising on day-to-day questions, for example, on contracts, e-commerce, and consumer regulations, and other compliance topics, and involving external counsel when needed.
  • Supporting selected corporate secretarial tasks for our other APAC entities, together with our local teams and advisors.
  • Continuously improving our processes: compliance calendars, templates, and documentation that make the next filing easier than the last one.

Requirements

  • Qualified Company Secretary (ICSI) and/or holding a law degree with strong achievements.
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate secretarial and compliance work, ideally in-house at a multinational or at a law, company secretary, or chartered accountant firm.
  • Solid hands-on knowledge of the Indian Companies Act, FEMA/RBI regulations for foreign-owned subsidiaries, and the POSH Act.
  • Experience with GST, labor law registrations, or e-commerce and consumer regulations in India is a plus. Exposure to other APAC jurisdictions is a big plus.
  • Fluent in English and comfortable working with colleagues across time zones.
  • Well organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented, and you keep an overview when many filings come together.
  • Hands-on and not afraid to speak up, you enjoy questioning the status quo and you are a true team player.

We Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing company
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Inclusive and diverse workplace
