About the Position
Country Finance Volunteer – Kinshasa
Acted works with 19 million people across 43 countries at the intersection of humanitarian, development, climate, and environmental programming. We are currently seeking a Country Finance Volunteer to join our team in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. This role involves supporting financial internal control and contributing to our humanitarian efforts.
Responsibilities
Under the authority of the Country Finance Manager, the Finance Volunteer (FV) will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Country Finance Team on the financial internal control of the mission.
- Reviewing and cross-checking accounting data and financial management and control tools’ data.
- Contributing to Acted Compliance and Accountability.
- Controlling Monthly Internal Reporting tools, including:
- Accounting review
- Finance Follow Up review
- Cost Control
- HR follow up
- Providing support to the daily tasks.
Requirements
- MSc in Finance, Audit, Business Management, Economics, or equivalent.
- Finance and accounting skills required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel (mastering of the main database management formulas).
- Ability to undertake responsibilities and manage stress efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, including advanced written and oral English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
We Offer
- Living allowance: 300 USD per month.
- Coverage: All accommodation, guesthouse, food, and travel costs, a luggage allowance of 50 kg.
- Insurance: Medical, repatriation, and life insurance.
- Training: One week pre-departure training in Acted HQ, including a 4-day in situ security training.
- Support: Psychological assistance.
