Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are looking for a Customer Journey Expert - ESG Run & Change to join our team in Makati City, Philippines. In this role, you will focus on data management, data requirements, data definition & mapping, data onboarding, and data modeling for ESG topics (e.g., GHG emissions, ESG risk, sustainable finance) for various reporting needs (e.g., Terra, Pillar 3, CSRD).

Responsibilities

  • Change & Run Bank’s data management activities.
  • Collect & write the detailed business data requirements.
  • Configure business rules and build reports.
  • Read and understand regulatory requirements.
  • Support the Data Modelers in creating conceptual data models.
  • Deliver and maintain Global Business Terms, Conceptual/Logical and Physical Data Models and additional documentation needed for shipping the product towards the Data Lakes and for clarifying the working of functionality for end consumers.
  • Create and test functional and technical mappings from source to target and support the usage of data models in ING units.
  • Perform data mapping and validation (SQL).
  • Execute acceptance and other testing.
  • Report on the progress and communicate the dependencies and impediments to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to existing principles, standards, guidelines, and ways of working to continuously improve them.
  • Support the development and configuration of the solution.

Requirements

  • Required Knowledge:

    • Sourcing, classifying & onboarding data for different business areas.
    • Knowledge of and experience within data management and analyzing large data sets and data quality.
    • Hands-on proficient level of experience in SQL and MS Excel.
    • Understanding of relevant ESG themes (e.g., financed emissions, climate-related physical risks) and regulations (e.g., EBA Guidelines, ECB expectations, EU CSRD).
    • Understanding of Data Modelling, being able to interpret logical and conceptual data models and able to explain these models in a natural language.
    • Understanding of different banking products and asset classes as well as regulatory reporting.
    • Knowledge of and experience with agile way of working and with change delivery in an agile environment (impact analysis, configuration, testing).
    • Experience in Regression and User Acceptance testing.
    • Experience in building and maintaining data requirements regarding Statutory and Regulatory Reporting.
  • Required Skills:

    • Ability of thorough understanding of logical Data Models and Modelling.
    • Ability to (re)design and improve financial reporting business processes.
    • Experience with functional UAT testing.
    • Excellent written and spoken communication skills as well as negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines and strong time management skills.
    • Result-driven and structured worker who is focused on the delivery and eager to work with details on Data quality and reporting.
    • Strong team player, self-organizing and proactive with ability to connect, having positive growth mindset, flexibility, focused on cooperation and sharing knowledge.
    • Problem-solving skills.
    • Listening and documentation skills.

Your Education, Experience, and Background

  • University (Bachelor’s/Master’s) degree in (business) economics or a comparable field.
  • Affinity with IT, banking, and sustainability.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
