About the Position

Customer Project Specialist - Japan CX

Cisco is seeking a Customer Project Specialist to lead and manage the full lifecycle of customer-facing projects across Cisco technologies in Japan. This role ensures alignment with customer business goals and Cisco's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of customer-facing projects from initiation through planning, execution, and closure.
  • Ensure alignment with customer business goals and Cisco's strategic objectives.
  • Accountable for the successful execution of projects and programs, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular updates to Service Delivery Managers (SDMs) and Customer Experience Managers (CXMs).
  • Manage project-level budget execution and ensure operational excellence.
  • Oversee financial forecasting and reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with delivery governance standards.
  • Coordinate with vendor management teams to source bids, recommend partner selections, and create statements of work (SOW) and terms and conditions (T&Cs).
  • Collaborate with SDMs for partner selection, SOW approval, and performance.
  • Operate within industry methodologies such as PMI and Agile, and Cisco's operational processes.
  • Maintain project governance by managing invoicing, payment tracking, and forecasting processes.
  • Execute change management strategies to ensure operational discipline and adherence to Cisco's business standards.
  • Apply AI and automation tools to streamline planning, reporting, risk detection, and closeout activities.
  • Champion continuous improvement through lessons learned, retrospectives, and knowledge sharing across teams and engagements.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree + 0 years of previous experience, or 4 years of related experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • PM CAPM certification preferred.
    • Technical certification preferred (e.g., CCST Networking, CCST Security, CCNA).
