This is the job

We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to help identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across our applications, systems, and infrastructure. You will perform security assessments, penetration testing, and provide recommendations to strengthen our overall security posture.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities
• Identify, validate, and document security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations
• Assess web applications, REST APIs, and authentication mechanisms
• Perform security testing across cloud, network, and infrastructure environments
• Prepare technical reports with clear remediation recommendations
• Develop scripts and automation tools to support security testing
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve security controls

Requirements

• Experience with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Proficiency with tools such as Nmap, Burp Suite, Metasploit, Wireshark, Nessus, and Kali Linux
• Knowledge of common attack techniques, vulnerabilities, and security best practices
• Familiarity with OWASP, NIST, PTES, and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Understanding of networking, operating systems, and security principles
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and secure coding principles is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and report-writing abilities

Nice to Have

• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (OSCP, CEH, PNPT, CISSP, Security+, or similar)
