About the Position

Cybersecurity Engineer (US)

EdgeQ Technologies is a leading US Staffing provider. We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to help protect enterprise systems, networks, applications, and cloud environments from cybersecurity threats.

Salary: $95,000–$155,000 per year

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM platforms.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, threats, and suspicious activities.
• Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
• Configure and monitor Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms.
• Support cloud security initiatives across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Analyze security logs, vulnerabilities, and threat intelligence.
• Assist with incident response, threat hunting, and security investigations.
• Implement security controls, policies, and best practices.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities.
• Collaborate with IT, cloud, network, and application teams to improve security posture.
• Maintain security documentation, reports, and incident records.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM, IAM, EDR, and Cloud Security.
• Experience with platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Okta, or similar tools.
• Understanding of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud security concepts.
• Knowledge of network security, firewalls, authentication, encryption, and access controls.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management and incident response.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.
• Knowledge of security automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CEH, CISSP, or cloud security certifications.
• Experience working in enterprise or cloud-based environments.
