About the Position
Andersen, a global software engineering and digitalization company with over 19 years of experience, is looking for a Data Analyst to join our team. We support businesses in their digital transformation, focusing on business process digitalization, system integration, application system modernization, cloud architectures, data and AI solutions, and end-to-end software development across industries such as FinTech, Healthcare, E-Commerce, Automotive, and more. Our teams create scalable, secure, and customized digital products that deliver real business results.
You will be part of international projects focused on data-driven decision-making and modern BI solutions. The goal is to collect, analyze, and translate relevant data into meaningful insights that directly impact business strategies.
In your role, you will work with various data sources, develop analyses and dashboards, and support business units in interpreting data. You will ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across all reporting solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collecting, cleaning, and transforming data from various sources (relational and NoSQL databases, on-premise and cloud).
- Creating and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction and processing.
- Using Python or similar languages for data analysis, statistical evaluation, and automation.
- Applying statistical methods such as hypothesis testing and regression analysis.
- Conducting A/B tests and interpreting results to support data-driven decisions.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining BI dashboards and visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView).
- Selecting appropriate visualization methods based on the use case.
- Working with different BI access models (Direct Query, Live Connections, Extracts).
- Evaluating and optimizing BI licensing models and deriving recommendations regarding functionality and scalability.
- Integrating, analyzing, and visualizing data in cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS).
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver relevant analyses.
- Ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance with data governance standards.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Informatics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst.
- Excellent SQL skills and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Practical experience with Python for data analysis and automation.
- Knowledge of statistics and statistical inference (A/B testing, confidence intervals, regression).
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and QlikView, including advanced modeling (DAX, LOD, Set Analysis).
- Deep understanding of data visualization and the ability to select appropriate chart types.
- Experience with on-premise and cloud data platforms.
- Practical experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure, GCP, or AWS).
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good English skills – Upper-Intermediate and higher.
- Good German skills – Intermediate+ and higher.
