About the Position
Data Analytics Manager
Location: Hong Kong, Taiwan (Taipei), Asia
Type: Remote
Responsibilities
- Risk Analysis: Research and analyze risk patterns on Binance platforms using data-driven thinking and quantitative analysis methodologies to identify, measure, contain, and mitigate risks (e.g., fraud trading, spam registration, account takeover, card acquiring risk, and payment fraud).
- Model Assessment: Deploy, monitor, and assess the effectiveness and stability of variables, rules, and models. Maintain and iterate the rules/strategies regularly to improve the key risk matrix.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with various stakeholders to develop new rules and strategies with an optimized balance between user experience and risk mitigation solutions.
- Strategic Analysis: Perform business-centric strategic analysis by leveraging data analytics to identify opportunities that streamline compliance operations, reduce friction, and drive measurable efficiency gains. Translate complex regulatory and operational data into actionable insights that support the company's broader growth strategy.
- Strategic Partnership: Serve as a trusted, objective thought partner to Compliance business leaders and senior management, helping define what "success" looks like for the function. Co-develop north-star metrics, performance frameworks, and decision-making criteria that bridge compliance objectives with company-wide priorities.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop the Compliance Data Analytics team with a clear vision and high standards. Build a collaborative, high-performance culture where each team member's strengths are fully utilized, ensuring the team operates as a strategic force multiplier for the Compliance organization, not just a reporting function.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree or above, major in mathematics, statistics, computer science, etc.
- Experience: At least five years of data analysis or data mining-related work experience. Risk analysis background in financial derivatives (futures contracts, leverage trading, etc.) or e-commerce platforms is preferred. Knowledge of blockchain, payment, and risk domains is a plus.
- Skills:
- Proficient in SQL language
- Proficient in at least one professional analysis tool, such as Python and R

- Outstanding ability to analyze and solve problems
- Good coordination and communication skills
