Data & AI Consulting Manager / Senior Manager (Consumer & Retail, German Market)

About the Position

We're seeking a Data & AI Consulting Manager / Senior Manager for Consumer & Retail in the German market to lead data and AI consulting engagements.

Responsibilities

• Shape pursuits and proposals from the start (problem definition, scoping, value narrative)
• Lead client discovery workshops to frame the real business problem and define success criteria
• Build and size data/AI use cases with KPIs, investment rationale, and delivery roadmaps for sign-off
• Own workstream end-to-end: requirements, backlog, data readiness, governance, and value tracking through adoption
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Solution Architects to define the “what and why” for scalable solutions
• Produce executive-level materials and present recommendations throughout the engagement
• Drive analytics use cases across pricing & promotions, merchandising/category, customer growth, and demand & supply chain

Requirements

• Deep Consumer & Retail expertise with concrete, measurable business impact
• Consulting experience in structured problem-solving, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and executive communication
• Data and AI literacy to define data requirements and KPIs and translate between business and technical stakeholders
• End-to-end agile delivery experience through adoption into recurring business processes
• Fluency with the CPG data landscape (transaction/order data, product data, customer data, syndicated/panel data, retailer POS/portal feeds, distributor sell-out)
• Comfortable with ambiguity; ownership-driven delivery to outcomes
• Fluent in German (not mandatory); ability to engage with clients in German is a strong plus
