Data Architect

About the Position

Join Sopra Steria's Data & AI team as a Data Architect to modernize data landscapes and design scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and set up end-to-end data solutions.
• Assess existing data environments and analyze business and technical needs.
• Design target architectures that support analytics, reporting, AI use cases, and broader digital transformation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, cloud architects, BI consultants, governance specialists, and other Data & AI colleagues.
• Translate client ambitions into meaningful data architecture decisions and guide implementation teams towards practical, robust, and business-aligned solutions.

Requirements

• Background in Data Engineering or Data Analysis.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Architect.
• Good knowledge and experience with SQL, Data modeling concepts, and ETL best practices.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Cloud or comparable alternatives.
• Analytical thinking, communication skills, and a practical attitude.
• Proficient in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is required.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of a programming language like Python.
• Experience with using and implementing AI in your and the client’s workflow.
