About the Position
We are seeking a Data Architect for a part-time role in Vienna, Austria. The role involves defining PoC/MVP scope, developing target architecture, and coordinating between various teams.
Responsibilities
- Definition of the PoC/MVP scope (functional & non-functional requirements)
- Defining acceptance criteria
- Development of the target architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold Layer in the Lakehouse)
- Decision on migration strategy
- Lift & Shift
- Redesign / Refactoring
- Selection of suitable migration tools and technology stacks
- Governance
- Security concept
- Performance strategies
- Coordination between various teams (e.g. Data, IT, Business)
- Stakeholder communication (management, specialist departments, external partners)
Requirements
- Several years of experience as a Data / Solution Architect or Delivery Lead
- Knowledge in the Treasury domain
- Very good knowledge of MS SQL Server (DWH) and SSAS
- In-depth experience with Databricks
- Experience with cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure
- Solid knowledge of data modeling (Kimball) and Lakehouse architectures
- Experience with data platform migrations (including strategy & implementation)
- Ability to define architectures, select technologies, and make strategic decisions
- Experience in stakeholder management and cross-team coordination
