About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Consultant Manager to join our dynamic and innovative team in Shanghai, China. In this pivotal role, you will work alongside forward-thinking professionals who are passionate about leveraging data to drive business success. As a Data Consultant, you will play a key role in advising clients, collaborating with diverse stakeholders and delivering impactful data solutions that address complex business challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by engaging with business stakeholders to identify data and analytics opportunities and address key challenges
  • Lead and support technology consulting, architecture and transformation initiatives from initial strategy through execution, collaborating closely with internal teams, clients and third-party partners
  • Develop comprehensive data strategies and roadmaps by identifying use cases, mapping client visions to specific products and technologies and ensuring actionable, well-documented plans for seamless implementation
  • Design and deliver data solutions, including proofs of concept (PoCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), ensuring quality, timeliness and alignment with client expectations
  • Drive data governance initiatives by developing frameworks, conducting technology assessments
  • Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships to drive growth, identify new opportunities, and collaborate with executives, sales and delivery leaders on business development initiatives
  • Support pre-sales activities by assessing data opportunities, responding to RFPs, developing proposals and presentations and actively contributing to the growth of the Data & Analytics practice through sharing expertise and producing relevant deliverables

Requirements

  • Experience in consulting, with strong capabilities across data domains (Big Data, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Data Science, Data Management, Data Storage and Data Visualization), with familiarity with modern data stacks (e.g., MLE/DSE)
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP)
  • Strong understanding and proficiency with access control mechanisms, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC)
  • Expertise in Data Governance, Data Security and Data Privacy, including familiarity with key regulatory frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, SOX, HIPAA)
  • Ability to collaborate within distributed delivery models and global teams, effectively engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication, analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex challenges and align solutions with business goals
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning, staying up to date with emerging trends and technologies and expanding areas of expertise beyond current knowledge
