Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements

About the Position

We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong SQL skills and experience with cloud data platforms to join our technology team in Gdansk, Poland.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for existing reports/dashboards
  • Participate in analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support of dashboards and reports
  • Perform data integration into the tool, maintenance, and support
  • Perform impact analysis and validation of existing production reports and universes after application and database upgrade
  • Implement industry BI standards and best practices
  • Proactively identify problems/issues/risks and provide solutions

Requirements

  • Strong SQL skills (joins, aggregations, debugging complex queries)
  • Python or similar scripting language
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS preferred: S3, Athena, Glue)
  • Understanding of data pipelines / ETL concepts
  • Git / version control experience
  • Strong analytical problem-solving
  • Ability to debug data issues end-to-end
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience with PySpark or large-scale data processing
  • Exposure to Airflow / orchestration tools
  • Understanding of data modelling and reporting datasets
  • Experience working with JSON / APIs
