Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer, you will:
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to extract, transform, and load data seamlessly from diverse and complex sources.
- Build and optimize high-performance data architectures, including data lakes and data warehouses (such as PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or Cloud-native solutions).
- Develop and maintain automated data workflows using modern orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Dagster.
- Collaborate closely with Data Analysts, Architects, and Software Engineers to ensure data is highly accessible, reliable, and tailored to business needs.
- Ensure strict data security, governance, and compliance with industry best practices and GDPR regulations throughout the entire lifecycle.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure performance, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks to maintain maximum efficiency.
Requirements
- Holding a Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer in agile environments.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java, and advanced mastery of SQL.
- Solid, hands-on experience with modern data processing frameworks (like Apache Spark or Kafka) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Comfort with DevOps best practices, version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization/infrastructure tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, rigorous approach, and eagerness to explore new open-source data technologies.
- Collaborative spirit, adaptability, and fluency in English (along with French or Dutch).
