About the Position
Data Engineer
Location: London, England
Salary: Up to £65,000
Employment Type: Permanent
Work Location: Hybrid (2 days onsite)
We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a fast-growing, analytics-focused environment operating at the intersection of sport and technology. You will play a key role in building and optimizing scalable data infrastructure that supports decision-making from performance on the field through to commercial strategy off it. Working with large, complex datasets and modern cloud technologies, you will help design and deliver robust data solutions in a high-impact, fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines
- Design and optimize cloud-based data storage and warehousing solutions
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across data platforms
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data architecture and workflows
Requirements
- Experience in a Data Engineering or similar role
- Strong experience with AWS services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions, Kinesis)
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Databricks or Snowflake
- Strong SQL and Python skills, including advanced query optimization and window functions
- Experience designing star and snowflake schemas for analytical workloads
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles
