Data Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with advanced SQL and Python expertise to join our team in Vienna or Bratislava for a Hybrid role.

Responsibilities

• Rewrite, modernize, and migrate ETL pipelines
• Design and manage workflow orchestration processes
• Convert complex T-SQL logic into scalable Spark/Databricks jobs
• Optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability (partitioning, caching, parallelization, etc.)
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver efficient data solutions
• Contribute to the improvement of architecture, processes, and engineering standards

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills covering the full lifecycle from business analysis and solution design to development and testing
• Advanced SQL and Python expertise
• Hands-on experience with Spark and Databricks
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration tools (SSIS, ADF, Databricks Workflows)
• Expertise in data transformation, optimization, and performance tuning
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Forward-thinking approach with interest in modern technologies, standards, and best practices

We Expect You to Have

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with Spark and Databricks
