Data Engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our cross-functional Marketing Technology team, where you’ll help build the data foundation that powers customer engagement, segmentation, campaign execution, and marketing performance measurement.

Responsibilities

• Build and Maintain Data Pipelines

  • Design, develop, and maintain reliable data ingestion pipelines for customer and marketing data.
  • Integrate data from internal systems and external providers.
  • Handle evolving upstream data sources, including schema changes, missing data, and delayed deliveries while continuously improving pipeline robustness.

• Develop Customer Data Products

  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Analysts to build and maintain a comprehensive Customer 360° data model.
  • Deliver well-structured, reusable, and trusted data products that support customer segmentation, personalization, attribution, experimentation, and reporting.
  • Ensure strong data lineage, ownership, and documentation across all datasets.

• Model Data Using Modern ELT Practices

  • Transform and model datasets using dbt following modern ELT principles.
  • Build scalable, maintainable data models optimized for analytics and marketing activation.
  • Implement monitoring, testing, and alerting to ensure data quality, freshness, and reliability.

• Ensure Data Governance and Collaboration

  • Apply best practices for data privacy, security, and access management, including PII handling and consent-aware data usage.
  • Collaborate with platform engineering teams to align with data standards, naming conventions, data contracts, SLAs, and governance practices.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Analysts to continuously improve the MarTech ecosystem.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong SQL skills and experience designing scalable, maintainable data models.
• Hands-on experience with dbt.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with marketing technology platforms such as HubSpot is a strong advantage.
