About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience to design, develop, and implement high-performance data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and implementing high-performance data pipelines in streaming and batch models
- Building and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable data lakes and data warehouses on Google Cloud Platform
- Designing cloud solutions for clients and managing projects to successful completion
- Implementing data migration and transformation projects
- Designing and implementing large, scalable data processing systems and pipelines
- Supporting clients in utilizing Google Cloud Platform throughout the data lifecycle – from acquisition and storage, through processing and analysis, to visualization
- Assisting in the deployment of Google Cloud products in collaboration with the existing team
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing high-performance data pipelines
- Experience in building and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable data lakes and data warehouses on Google Cloud Platform
- Experience in designing enterprise cloud solutions and managing client projects to successful completion
- Very good knowledge of BigQuery and Ab Initio
- Experience in infrastructure provisioning automation, DevOps, and CI/CD
- Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification
- Higher technical education
- Very good knowledge of English enabling fluent communication and work
Nice to Have
- Very good knowledge of German
- Experience in technical consulting
- Advanced knowledge of SQL optimization for cost and performance
- Experience in building data stream processing pipelines and understanding of event delivery semantics
- Experience in designing and developing large-scale production Big Data solutions using managed cloud services
- Experience in collaborating with data scientists, data analysts, and software engineers in fulfilling complex business needs
