About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with experience in AWS, SQL, and Python to join our team in Prague, Czech Republic. This role offers a Hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable data processing systems.
Develop and manage data pipelines using AWS services.
Write efficient SQL queries and manage distributed query engines.
Integrate data from various sources such as ERP and laboratory systems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field) AND a minimum of 4 years of related technical experience.
OR No degree and a minimum of 8 years of equivalent, related technical experience in data engineering or cloud analytics.
Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystem, specifically S3, AWS Glue, and Athena.
Query & Big Data Engines: High proficiency in SQL and experience with distributed query engines like Trino/Presto or Databricks.
Programming: Strong scripting and programming skills in Python, Scala, or PySpark for data transformation.
Integration Knowledge: Understanding of integrating data from ERP and laboratory systems (e.g., SAP, GLIMS, Veeva).

Nice to Have

Experience operating within an Agile framework and utilizing CI/CD deployment pipelines.
Familiarity with GxP regulations and data integrity guidelines within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
Previous work with SAP ERP.
