Data Engineer Göteborg

Sopra Steria is looking for a Data Engineer in Göteborg, Sweden. In this role, you will work on exciting projects with leading companies and organizations in both the public and private sectors. Together with dedicated colleagues, you will build solutions that strengthen societal functions and improve the daily lives of thousands of people. With your technical skills and understanding of the business, you will create great value for our customers. You will be responsible for building, optimizing, and future-proofing modern data platforms in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Databricks, and assist clients in both new development and migrating existing solutions to the cloud. Assignments are typically carried out in team deliveries where you will influence the entire analytics chain – from data collection and modeling to visualization and decision support. Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and future-proof modern data platforms in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Databricks.
• Assist clients in new development and migrating existing solutions to the cloud.
• Influence the entire analytics chain – from data collection and modeling to visualization and decision support.

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Data Engineer, preferably with a focus on Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and/or Azure Databricks.
• Good knowledge of SQL and experience with Notebooks.
• Experience with medallion architecture or equivalent.
• Comfortable working in both Swedish and international environments – fluent in Swedish and English in speech and writing.

Nice to Have

• Experience as a consultant, architect, or in sales.
• Data warehouse including stored procedures, views, and tabular models, e.g., SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS.
• Power BI & semantic models or similar.
• Python, DevOps, Git, Bitbucket.
• Modeling, e.g., Kimball.
• Assignments in AI or Data Science.
