About the Position

DATA Engineer H/F - Asnières-sur-Seine

Smile Group is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design and industrialize data pipelines for a major project in the public or energy sector. Join our team of 1,500 experts across Europe, dedicated to building robust, scalable, and sustainable data platforms.

Responsibilities

Design and Construct: Develop ETL/ELT data pipelines, implement storage and processing solutions (data warehouses, data lakes), and maintain and optimize data infrastructure.
Industrialize and Automate: Automate data management processes for reliability and speed, ensure data quality and availability for analytics and AI, and provide tools and documentation for long-term platform usability.
Collaborate and Advance: Work with data science and analytics teams to ensure use case reliability, communicate with business stakeholders, and stay updated on data tools and technologies.

Technical Environment

Ingestion and Flow: Apache NiFi, dbt, Azure Data Factory, Snowpipe
Computing and Big Data: Apache Spark (Python/Scala), Databricks, Snowflake
Cloud and Infrastructure: GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage), Azure (Synapse, Fabric), Kubernetes, Docker
Orchestration and DevOps: Airflow (Cloud Composer), Git, CI/CD
Research and Visualization: Elasticsearch, Kibana, Solr, Power BI, QlikSense

Requirements

5+ years of experience in data development
Strong attention to detail, ensuring data quality and reliability
Passion for solving complex data infrastructure problems
Autonomy and initiative
Active monitoring of new data technologies and solutions
Good adaptability to rapid technical changes
Effective communication with data and business teams
Professional English proficiency (a plus for international projects)
