Data engineer

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data warehousing is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have experience working in MedAnalytics or Vizikveyte.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines
• Manage data warehousing solutions using Snowflake and/or BigQuery
• Develop and maintain data processing workflows
• Ensure data quality through row-count validation and schema mapping
• Implement secure authentication flows using OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
• Optimize and manage databases including PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server
• Utilize cloud services such as AWS and Azure for data storage and processing
• Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and availability

Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Data Warehousing
• Experience with ETL processes and tools
• Familiarity with Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS, and Azure
• Knowledge of Git for version control
• Experience with Flask, SQLAlchemy, pandas, openpyxl, APScheduler, psutil, PyYAML, Oracle Instant Client, Python 3.11, Gunicorn, Podman / Docker, and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server
• Experience with BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, and Secret Manager
• Familiarity with Docker / Podman, CI/CD pipelines, and Environment variable and secrets management
• Knowledge of Distributed system concepts, ETL/ELT pipeline design, Chunked data processing, Schema mapping, and Row-count validation
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Role-based access control, and Secure credential handling

Nice to Have

• Experience with Redshift, data factory, and Synapse
• Knowledge of Multithreading, Background job scheduling, Structured logging, Robust error handling, and Database migration
