Data Engineer

About the Position

Zeeks is a technology company that develops infrastructure, analytical, and service products for the international iGaming market. We work with B2B and B2B2C models, where the accuracy of processes, data quality, and scalability of technological solutions play a key role.

We are currently looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data Analytics team. The company is scaling up, data volumes are growing, and we need a person ready to build infrastructure from scratch: from architecture to data collection, processing, and delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Building a centralized Data Lake / Warehouse as a single source of truth.
• Designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines for all major data sources.
• Integrating and unifying data from 11+ sources: MySQL, ClickHouse, BigQuery, external APIs, and others.
• Building data marts for product teams and analytics needs.
• Stable integration with GrowthBook, Power BI, and other BI/experiment tools.
• Setting up data quality monitoring and alerting processes.
• Optimizing work with large data volumes: BigQuery and ClickHouse.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related position.
• Proven experience in designing and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines in production environments.
• Practical knowledge of ClickHouse and BigQuery: modeling, query optimization, partitioning.
• Proficient level of Python for transformations and automation.
• Experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestrators.
• Understanding of CDC, event streaming, and Kafka concepts.
• Understanding of Data Warehouse principles: data layers, models (star/snowflake), data lineage.
• Understanding of transactional analytics at the user level (transaction states, user-level analytics).
• Experience with GitLab.
• Ability to build robust data quality and observability processes.
• English B1+ - for working with documentation.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Google Analytics / Google Search Console or other marketing data sources.
• Experience in an analytical team - understanding the needs of analysts and business requirements for aggregations.
• Experience in preparing data for BI systems.
