Data Engineer

About the Position

LTPlabs is seeking a Data Engineer to join our team in Lisboa or Porto, focusing on building scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines that integrate diverse sources (APIs, relational databases, streaming data, etc.).
• Work with tools such as Python, PySpark, SQL, Airflow, among others.
• Leverage modern data platforms like Databricks to build scalable pipelines and implement Lakehouse architectures.
• Work in multidisciplinary project teams along with other LTPeers that are skilled in data science and business.
• Contribute to data architecture decisions and help design reusable data products.
• Monitor, test, and continuously improve the quality, performance, and reliability of data pipelines.
• Present technical solutions in a clear and accessible way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Share best practices, explore new technologies, and participate in internal R&D initiatives.

Requirements

• Master Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in data engineering or backend development.
• Proficient in Python and familiar with SQL or Java.
• Experience with tools such as PySpark, Pandas, Airflow or similar.
• Comfortable working with both structured and unstructured data from various sources.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and team spirit.
• Strong communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
• A proactive attitude and a hunger to keep learning.
