The Sopra Steria Data Center of Excellence (DCoE), a cross-functional entity of the France pole, is at the heart of the Data/AI support and transformation of our clients.

Convinced that Data is the engine of an evolving and sustainable industrial base built to meet business challenges, we work on the entire chain to provide value to our clients at all levels (business, IT, CxO...) in liaison with our consulting and delivery teams.

The DCoE brings together technological and methodological expertise across the entire Data value chain: from transformation strategy to the implementation of everyday AI use, through Data Cloud and on-premise governance and architectures.

Environment of Work

As an experienced Data Engineer, you will join our Data center of excellence, which will allow you to work with various clients in various sectors of activity (Banking, Insurance, Public Sector, Telecom, Media, Gaming, Industry and Services) throughout the French territory. We intervene in support of delivery teams, during the prospecting phase, pre-sales and project implementation.

You will work primarily on data ingestion and transformation topics, while integrating data governance concepts, data catalog, data repository management, data quality, and AI industrialization.

We work in partnership with the leading publishers on the market, as well as with the Hyperscalers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data ingestions (real-time, asynchronous, intermediary tools)
• Implement data transformations and data valorization (SQL, Python, Java, Scala)
• Knowledge of technical bricks such as Datalake, Datawarehouse, MDM, other intermediary tools (ETL, ESB, API management,...)
• Knowledge of methodology and tools around DevOps in a Data context
• Participation in client workshops for design and consulting
• Framing/AVV, understanding an RFP, building a technical response (functional, technical, and software architecture) to support it in front of a technical/functional audience
• Solid knowledge of on-premise and/or cloud infrastructure

After your start, you will be required to supervise a development team and participate in the delivery of the solution.

Requirements

• A Bac+5 degree (graduate schools or universities), you have at least three years of experience as a DATA Engineer that has allowed you to acquire solid skills.

You have a particular sensitivity to broader Data topics (data quality, repositories, governance, business processes)? This will be a real asset to adapt to the different projects you will be in charge of.

Comfortable with public speaking, this will allow you to present and lead workshops and meetings around architecture solutions.

Finally, you have an English level of B2 necessary to address our clients abroad.
