About the Position

As a Data Engineer at Sopra Steria, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects with leading companies and organizations in both the public and private sectors. Through your technical skills and understanding of the business, you will create great value for our customers. You will be responsible for building, optimizing, and future-proofing modern data platforms in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Databricks, and help clients both in new development and in migrating existing solutions to the cloud. Assignments are usually carried out in team deliveries where you will influence the entire analytics chain – from data collection and modeling to visualization and decision support. Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and future-proof modern data platforms in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Databricks.
• Influence the entire analytics chain from data collection and modeling to visualization and decision support.
• Collaborate with clients in both new development and migration projects.

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Data Engineer, preferably with a focus on Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and/or Azure Databricks.
• Good knowledge of SQL and experience with Notebooks.
• Experience with medallion architecture or similar.
• Fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
• Comfortable working in both Swedish and international environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience as a consultant, architect, or in sales.
• Knowledge of data warehouses including stored procedures, views, and tabular models, e.g., SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS.
• Experience with Power BI & semantic models or similar.
• Experience with Python, DevOps, Git, Bitbucket.
• Modeling experience, e.g., Kimball.
• Experience in AI or Data Science assignments.
