Job Description, Responsibilities & Requirements
About the Position
Data Engineer
As a member of Auditdata's development group, you will become part of the data engineering team developing and maintaining sophisticated data migration and analytics solutions for audiology clinic chains. You will design and implement repeatable ingestion and transformation pipelines, ensure data quality and reconciliation, and collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to onboard new data sources efficiently and safely.
Tech stack we use: MS SQL Server / Azure SQL, T-SQL (stored procedures, views), Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, and basic.NET knowledge for tooling/integrations. We wildly use a variety of AI tools, like Claude Code and others.
Responsibilities
- Design and Develop Migration Solutions: Create and enhance data migration pipelines, stored procedures, and ETL processes to migrate customer data from legacy systems to modern platforms.
- Pipeline Orchestration: Design and implement Azure Data Factory pipelines for complex data transformation, validation, and migration workflows.
- Data Quality & Validation: Develop data validation frameworks, implement data quality checks, and ensure data integrity throughout migration processes.
- Customer Migration Projects: Lead end-to-end migration projects for existing customers, including data profiling, mapping, transformation, testing, and cutover execution.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes for performance and scalability.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with SQL Server/Azure SQL and T-SQL development.
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory or similar ETL/ELT tools (SSIS, Databricks, etc.).
- Proven experience designing and implementing data migration solutions and ETL pipelines.
- Familiarity with .NET/C#.
- Experience with version control (Git, Azure DevOps) and CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.
- Upper-intermediate spoken and written English.
- B.Sc.+ degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or similar.
Nice to Have
- Experience with data validation frameworks and automated testing for data pipelines.
- Understanding of healthcare/audiology domain data models.
- Experience with incremental data loading patterns and change data capture (CDC).
We Offer
- Remote-first, async-friendly culture.
- High engineering and product standards.
- A team that values depth over hype: production quality over flashy prototypes.
- A culture that values personal growth as much as business outcomes.
- Long-term engagement in a stable, growing SaaS company.
- Flexible environment with a flat organizational structure.
- A global, diverse, and highly skilled team across Denmark, Ukraine, UK, Poland, Canada, Australia, USA, and more.
